STAGING FAQ'S...

Why do I need a professional Home Stager?
Many homeowners have a difficult time viewing their home objectively. But your home needs to feel like it could be someone else’s home. A professional Home Stager understands what buyers are looking for and specializes in this type of decorating and design. As only 10% of buyers can visualize the potential of a home beyond its current furnishings, staging is imperative not to lose the other 90% of buyers.

Can’t my realtor just tell me how to stage?

Most realtors have years of experience and know what sells and what doesn’t. However, that doesn’t mean they have the creative vision to implement that look and most are too busy marketing your home to spend time staging it. While realtors specialize in selling real estate, Stagers specialize in decorating homes to sell. We work with realtors and homeowners to bring out the best in each home to make it a place buyers will love.

How does it work?

The staging process begins with an in-home consultation where your goals and expectations are discussed. After a walk-thru of the home, we provide you with a report detailing the top priorities we recommend to address for a quicker, more profitable sale. You may then choose to make these improvements on your own or employ our staging services. If you select our staging services, we will roll up our sleeves and work together rearranging furniture, adding accessories, de-cluttering, removing personal items and then take high quality photos of your home for you to use in your marketing efforts. If the home is vacant, we will bring in furniture and accessories, handling the entire process from beginning to end.

How much does it cost?

Staging services can range from a few hundred dollars up to a few thousand, depending on the size and condition of the home and what needs to be done (ie, simply rearranging furniture already in the home versus bringing in furniture for a vacant home, etc).

Is it really worth the investment?

Statistics show that staged homes typically sell 50% faster and for 6-10% more money than homes that are not staged. Non-staged homes often sit on the market longer, resulting in price reductions that cost thousands more than staging. A 2011 Home Gain Survey showed that hiring a professional Home Stager yielded a 299% return on investment.

What benefits do I gain by staging?

Two main benefits are more money and peace of mind. We all know that selling a home can be very stressful. Having to keep the place clean, leaving when prospective buyers want to view the property, all this can be very tiresome. Save yourself the stress and sell your home quicker – and for more money! In today’s market, can you really afford not to stage?
